How Light Found Me: The Beginning of Destello Visual

Everything began with a drone flying over Bolivia’s scenic landscapes.
At first, I made aerial videos, capturing my country’s natural beauty from a different perspective. But something was missing…

I spent hours watching YouTube videos, and one thing kept catching my eye: flash photography. There was something about those images —the glow, the mood, the power of light— that drew me in. I tried to recreate the look, but I couldn’t quite get it… until I realized that the key often lay in the use of flash.

So I bought one. And instead of leaving it in a drawer, I started experimenting.
First with direct light, then with diffusers — and that’s when I began to see the difference. Every shot taught me something new. I started collaborating with models, makeup artists, friends… anything to learn more.

That’s how Destello Visual was born.

A name that holds a lot of meaning for me:
the flash of light, the flash of a moment, the flash of a story that comes alive for just a second.

Over time, Destello Visual became more than just an account.
It’s a space to create portraits, explore fashion, play with light, and document my evolution. I still have so much to learn, but one thing I know for sure: every session makes me better.
